If you are worried about your bones, have recently had a diagnosis of low bone mass or osteoporosis, you may be feeling confused as to what’s safe and what’s not, what you should be doing to protect yourself, and maximise your future bone health. This class is for you!
Wednesdays 11am-12pm Irish time. In-studio near Greystones, Co. Wicklow, or live online.
Buff Bones® is a medically-endorsed, full body workout for bone strengthening and balance.
It integrates Pilates, strength training, functional movement and rehabilitative exercise to improve the health and longevity of your bones and joints.
It’s adaptable to varying levels and is safe for those with osteoporosis.
This class is not Yoga, but it is all about muscles, bones and balance. So if Yoga feels a bit esoteric for you, or you think you’re not able for Yoga, I think you’ll enjoy it! Men are also welcome!
Osteopenia is present in more of us than you might imagine. In particular, women who are post-menopause, men too, but also younger people!
There are so many reasons why bones lose mass: it’s natural, for a start. But it can lead to complications as the years go by. And even with just osteopenia (a diagnosis of low bone mass that is not quite as low as osteoporosis) we are more vulnerable to fracture.
I’m happy to discuss any concerns you have, just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
