Perhaps you would like private Yoga/Pilates/Somatics sessions for strength, mobility, stress or general health: I am here for you in simple one-to-one appointments ensuring your time on the mat will serve you.

Maybe you need broader help adjusting your lifestyle to make it more relevant to your needs in perimenopause, post-menopause.

Perhaps you have had a diagnosis or test that shows you need extra care in an area like bone health, blood sugar or cholesterol issues for instance.

For these, I will take a detailed look at your current nutrition, movement, energy, fitness, stress, and any past or current health issues. Noting all of these, and your life stage, I will offer you realistic, achievable changes that can make a world of difference to your overall wellbeing, comfort and joy in your body.

Inclusions:

I work through Yoga, Pilates and Nutrition to bring you whole-body, lifelong support. One session may be enough, or you can book 3 sessions with access to me via email over 3 months to address any arising issues.

These sessions will shed light on your life stage or issues, and give all you need to know to take you through perimenopause and the decades beyond, and/or to address osteoporosis.

You will receive personalised recommendations, and (apart from The Tweak), includes recipes if required, and some class recordings to your email inbox.

You can come to me in Greystones or Kilcoole, Co.Wicklow, or I can come to you, or we can meet online.

We can also record your sessions so you can review and/or practice again.

Retreats

Retreat with me (1)

Retreat Dates:

September 20th-26th

October 18th-20th

A few times per year I facilitate retreats at the Beautiful, spacious, well-equipped and bright Burren Yoga Retreat Centre in the West of Ireland. It’s an opportunity to learn and practice with me in person.

In these Yoga for Health and Wellbeing retreats, I will tailor our sessions to your needs. Perhaps as a yoga student you have practices you want to work on, or issues of body or nervous system you want to address. And/or as a teacher who has studied with me, you can ask me to revisit some of what you learnt to deepen your knowledge, and see Yoga for Menopause in action!

The retreats are open to all, and though it is not officially a Yoga for Menopause retreat, it is essentially! I will be using the same techniques, as they are useful for all.

Whether through chats with me between sessions, out on our walks and lunches in local eateries, you can pick my brains as much as you like! I am also happy for you to book one of 3 private sessions available while on the retreat (weeklong retreats) for a small additional fee.
You will go home with useable tools to help you with whatever the difficulties of, and hopes for your life.
And oh! The food!

A seriously nourishing staycation, and well worth a flight if you’re thinking of joining from abroad.

It’s a stunning area in the middle of this geographical wonder that is the Burren, with the sea nearby for Atlantic swimming, a beautiful lake nearby for a different kind of swim or just a wander, optional guided outings, and introductions to some of the lovely restaurants in the area.

The new centre is stunning. What was always a welcoming, cosy, authentic yoga retreat centre, is still authentic and welcoming, but now supercharged with everything from ensuite single and king-size rooms, to budget dorm style rooms, and the most beautiful studio.

Retreat Inclusions and Investment:

Accommodation, all yoga classes, breakfast and (unbelievably delicious and healthy) dinner at the centre, and guided outings are included.

      Hi Marian
      Yes you will be welcome!
There are 2 weeks of classes left until I go on holiday/other work for the month of July. You could give it a try for a couple of weeks to help you decide if it suits you…

    Hello,

I was looking through your website and I was wondering if you offered any classes that would be suitable for me (beginner, over weight & unfit) and for my daughter who is 8?
I was thinking yoga may help her to be more aware of herself and her moods and it could be nice to do together.

    Thanks

      Hi Siobhán.
You could really benefit from a couple on one-to-one sessions, and then you’ll be most welcome to any of my classes.
Probably the best for you would be Thursday evenings (either class) or the Tuesday evening online class. Unfortunately I don’t teach children under 16…
      Further questions are welcome!

      Hi Margaret,
You’ve come to the right place! I know I am replying after you have already started classes with me (sorry for the delay!). I think what’s most important about starting yoga at a time when our bodies are changing with menopause is that we find a teacher who understands the effects of this on our bodies, and what might be the best areas to focus on for our comfort now, and our health through the years.
It’s lovely having you in the classes!

    Hi Niamh,
I attended a session with you over the weekend at Colettes yoga studio. I don’t have social media to follow you, but if there is any way to keep up with your upcoming events/retreats, be aded to a mailing list, or something like that, please do let me know.
Thanks again for such an informative and yet relaxing session.
    Best wishes,
    Melissa

      Dear Melissa,
So lovely to hear from you.
I am a bit rubbish regarding mailing lists, so the best option is to check in with my website under the “Students and Clients menu”. The Movement and More menbership means you can access classes and learning in your own time, I have live online classes every Thursday evening, and you can see when I have retreats coming up in the “classes, private sessions and retreats” button. They are always up there well in advance.
I am planning a one day retreat between Christmas and New Year in the Wicklow area. That will be on the website soon.
      Warmly,
      Niamh
