Live and online, join me form anywhere in the world.
June course: June 12th, 13th, 19th and 26th, 10am-6pm Irish time.

This “Certificate in Teaching Yoga for the Stages of Menopause”, (40 hours) is one of only 2 such courses certified by YAP, and one of the first 2 created worldwide. It is certified and endorsed by Yoga Alliance Professionals with whom Niamh is a registered Senior Yoga Teacher and Trainer.

Almost 100 teachers from across the USA, Ireland, UK, Australia and Mainland Europe have graduated this course.

This course was of such a high standard, I will be recommending it to all.” Melissa Curtis, Senior Yoga Teacher and Trainer.

Over 80% of Yoga students in the western world are women. All of them will reach menopausal age.

Menopause is symptomatic and real, and often very difficult.

In 5 years research and working with almost 200 women, Niamh has seen that Yoga can significantly help ease the symptoms and general experience of women during this long period in their lives (5-12 years of symptoms, preceded by pre-Menopause changes, and followed by post-Menopause health concerns). But perhaps not in the ways you assume.
She believes Yoga teachers should be educated in how we can help, and how we may be hindering women at this time, as the way that they use their body needs to change to reduce the higher risks of many health issues at this time, and as the years go by.

Niamh has a no frills attached teaching skill which is inclusive, respectful, honest and open, I loved every minute of this training, and feel it is something we should all be exposed to.” Christine Stewart, Yoga Teacher

This course will give you a deep knowledge and understanding of the many ways a woman can be affected by pre-, peri- and post-menopause. It will help you learn how much the way you teach her, and the practices you put at her disposal, can make a huge difference to the ease or struggle with which she navigates this intense time. Beginning in our 40s, it’s likely that your students will start to feel frightening changes in their bodies long before they expect to. With this lack of awareness, and this disarming sensation, come a lot of fear. Your knowledge after this course could reach a woman before she descends into the potential anxiety, low mood and fear that can characterise this time.
The content in the manual was excellent, I feel much better equipped now on how to help a woman going through menopausal stages in her life. Clear, informative and factual, the information you gave us was excellent“. Mary Conway, Yoga teacher.

The highest rate of suicide in women in Ireland and the UK is between the ages of 45-54. This may in part be due to menopausal symptoms, exacerbated by the researched fact that women feel marginalised, misunderstood, and not taken seriously by the people they look to for help. A radical lack of training about Menopause exists in the medical community. As her Yoga teacher, rightly or wrongly, your student looks to you for support and help.

The content has been brilliant and thought provoking, from the information on the menopause to the practicalities and limitations of teaching a class.” Brigitte Stuart, Yoga Teacher.

This is a 40 hour training, 28 hours of which are contact. It includes a 60 page manual posted to you, to use as a resource through your years of teaching.
